No, I wanted a tall. (A wordy tip) (self.starbucksbaristas)

Mobile order came through DT on a busy (plus eclipse traffic) morning this morning.
Had two double tall lattes sitting on the counter and with a sleeve on I missed the "mobile" part when I handed out the first DT order.
The second car was the mobile who had ordered a
double tall with 2 splenda and whip, and alas thanks to my excellent (ie: nonexistent) reading skills, I now realized I had a plain double tall sitting in front of me. Dang.
I did my best to politely explain what had happened but this customer was still un-caffeinated and having trouble...
Me: I'm really sorry but I mixed up your order with the car ahead of you and I'll need to re-make it so it's correct
Customer: but that's a double tall latte?
Me: yes, but it's the wrong one, this one doesn't have splenda or whip.
Customer: but I mobile ordered splenda and whip. (Holds phone out). See? Do you not offer whip and splenda in drive thru?
Me: we do, one sec while I get this remade
Customer: can I just have it? Its a double tall latte?
Me: it's the wrong one, we are remaking yours right now.
Customer: but I want that one with whip and splenda.
Me: (giving up a little) let me just have them add whip and splenda.
Customer: okay. Because that's what I ordered.
Me: of course, sorry about the mix up!
(We pour the existing double tall into a grande cup over two splenda and top with whip. I hand the customer her now double tall with whip and 2 splenda in a grande cup)
Customer: whose drink is this?
Me: we poured the double tall into a grande cup so the whip would fit.
Customer: but I wanted a tall
Me: it is a tall drink ma'am, its just in a grande cup.
Customer: but I don't want any extra dairy
Me: there isn't any extra, we just put the splenda in a grande cup, poured the double tall over it and topped it with whip.
Customer: but you didn't add dairy?
Me: just whip cream on top under the flat lid
Customer: oh because I'm lactose intolerant and I hate the other milks so I only get a tall so I don't have extra dairy. There's still coffee in this one?
Me: yes ma'am
Customer: okay.
Moral of the story... keep it simple and read the cup ;-)

I have something similar.
So when someone orders a brewed tea, we charge by the bag, right? Someone wants two bags in a venti cup, we charge for a grande, right?
We have someone who comes in regularly, says "I want a venti tea in two tall cups."
"Sure, I'll just charge for a grande."
"No, I want a venti, but in two tall cups."
"But I don't have to charge for a venti if-"
"It's alright, I've been coming here for a long time. Just put a tea bag in each cup and fill'm with water."
He's a regular who's been doing this for awhile, so I assume maybe he knows what he's doing, but I threw in the towel after awhile.
