Opening procedure at starbucks?? Help! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Lovestacy04
I'm a new barista at Starbucks and I've been put on the opening shift. My manager showed me ONCE the opening procedure duties but I don't remember the checklist of what to do (espresso machine cleaning? Cold coffee? Teas?). I've only been doing the pastry case so I got that down, I think. What are the other procedures and dated items? Please help me my manager is not the type to repeat herself trust me. Thanks!

This is how I always do it .
1)Put the pastry case out with food and Sandwiches
2) put out foods and Panini's and what not
3)put out chairs

If your opening bar
1) enter these pill things in bar machines

2) clean clover machines if you have one

3) brew coffee and teas

4) get out the sanitizer buckets

5) fill ice if needed

I haven't work there in like 3 months but yeah that's what I remember

I’m still learning as well but something helpful is to assign a register so once you open you can hop on POS. You’ll need to put espresso beans in the hopper, and decaf beans in also but it has a specific like tube in the hopper. Hopefully, the closing shift had stocked everything, if not go grab cups and lids. Put a half and half pitcher out on the condiment bar. That’s all I can remember.
