Hi yall .
Im wondering what the policies are when it comes to breaks. How often do you get breaks? (Time frame: 8 , 7 , 4, and 3 hour shifts). I had a 3.75 shift so mayb thats why I didnt get one for baby shifts for today.
Thank yall. :)

I can over look it if its busy. Can I report them for not giving a break I have been working for this store for a while and them not giving me a break sent a red flag to me.

I want to be fair to them even though I felt they havent been to me . Lets say they do it again then I will report it.

As someone who works a drive thru store with only two people on sometimes and can still have half hours peaking £150 we don't always get our breaks.
If we don't we inform our manager who ensures we get paid for missing it.
If you are in Canada check your state laws, but nearly every country does not start legal breaks until after 6 hours. In the UK here it's only a 15 minute break too by law. But we get 30 minutes with our licence. That's another thing as well, official and licence have different timings.

Morale is low cause of staffing. So I understand being the only other barista besides the Shift. Lol! Whats a break? 😂 As long as its paid I guess its ok...

Yeah. If you chose to waive your break that’s one thing. If they just didn’t give it to you that’s illegal.
I’m a shift supervisor in Oregon. I don’t usually take my breaks just to make sure my partners get theirs, but I do take my lunches.

Even if you don’t work a full 4 hours. You should still get a break. But I think it depends on your state work laws.

Im in Cali. We were understaffed. I can over look it if were busy. But I know were entitled to our breaks. My shifts didnt give me a break thats why Im asking if their breaking policy or not.
