Working with a foot boot/foot cast? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by luvheizel
Hey guys so I sprained my pinky toe and It gives me hard time to walk but I can still work. Does anybody know if I can work with a foot boot/foot cast at Starbucks? I haven't been to the doctor. I just wanna know before I buy one and I don't really wanna ask my SM about it for now. I just wanna prevent anybody stepping on my foot or me banging my foot anywhere. I just dont know if it's a QASA violation or whatever

one of my shift managers actually broke her foot but she was still working open shifts with a cast and eventually a boot on her foot. not for longer than four hours, though. she also had a scooter but spent more than half of her shift either on DTO or in the back.

Had this issue come up in my district lately......No, you can't as it creates a tripping hazard. You can call prsc for a temporary accommodation request, but they would likely ask for some type of documentation as to the nature of the injury.

You might be able to work the register while in one of the taller chairs. It's probably up to the individual manager.
