Hi! I’m doing an experiment testing for microbes in cold brew coffee. Does anybody know what Starbucks roast I can buy that would be closest to the coffee used for the coldbrew?

Just ask for some spare beans, had someone from the university ask for some to do a similar test. We told them when we next made the batch and they collected it then. Sbux don't miss some beans :) we are always happy to help

Maybe Ethiopia? That’s if you want a similar taste to what we make in store. Personally, I think home made cold brew is better with a darker roast.

Thanks! I won’t be drinking it, but testing it, I want to get as close to the same roast as possible to get the most accurate results.
