Not sure if you have ever worked food service/retail before, but you can expect to be in a very fast-paced environment, that will require you to work hard and fast. I've been with the company for just under six months now, and I absolutely love it. At first, it will definitely be VERY overwhelming. They throw store policies at you, including sanitation, store maintenance, customer service, and drink crafting. There are drink recipes to remember and procedures you will follow every day. It takes time to get these down, but once you do (they do not expect you to grasp the job fully for 3-6 months) it'll be second nature. I love the location I am at. For the most part, we have very friendly customers, and our team of partners is like a family. From someone who has anxiety and panics/gets overwhelmed easily, this job will be overwhelming, but just enjoying yourself once you get the hang of it is the key. Don't think about how much there is to do/remember/etc. It's a great place, and a really ethical company. Just stick with it, and I think you'll find that you love it! Hope this helped a bit. If you need more tips, tricks, and help getting started this site was my go-to my first few weeks of the job: starbucksfaster.com
