Your DM can help you! If you’re not comfortable calling stores in your new area to see if they have a spot for you, talk to your DM. While mine wasn’t helpful, most are. The downside of this is that if your DM isn’t attentive to your needs, you could end up at a store that’s impractical for you (not close to your home, hours aren’t ideal for your availability, whatever).
The easiest thing to do though is definitely just call other stores in your new area and see if they’ll be able to take on a transfer. Talk to your potential new SM about your strengths, availability, needs from them, etc. You may have to call a few stores, and depending on how far out your move is, you may not get a definite answer from anyone yet, but I’m sure you’ll find something!

Another thing you can do is look at the online Starbucks job page (the same one you applied on) and see which stores are hiring baristas in your new area. Each store should have an address next to it, and from there you can google map how far away from your new home/school each store is. Once you decide on the store, go on the partner hub and search “transfer request form”. You should be able to print it out and you can fill your bits in. Then, give it to your SM. The form will ultimately need to go through your DM too, as they approve the transfers. If your SM isn’t available to answer questions, I would get your DM’s number and give him/her a call. Obviously if your DM is helpful, they’ll be able to set you up with a store without you doing these extra steps, but this is just a line of action you can take in the meantime :)
