Best bet would be to discuss it with your manager. Since you’re transferring in 4 months, he/she might suggest you wait until just before you transfer to start the SSV training, since it is extremely common for baristas to promote, train and then transfer out. Or the alternate path would be to promote in-store now, get acclimated to becoming a shift and then transfer out in 4 months.
Ultimately the more your manager knows the better he/she can assist you. They’re there to help :)
