Microwave in the back room?? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey partners! I was told that we weren’t allowed to have a microwave in our back room because it was a QASA violation. I’ve worked at other stores and they have had one. Just looking for some clarity as to what the policy is on this! I would love to have one so I can bring meals to work. (So tired of our food and trying to be healthier haha.)

It’s a fire hazard if it’s plugged into an extension cord. But if it’s plugged straight into a wall outlet it’s fine. We don’t have room in our back room to have a microwave unfortunately.

I use our oven to heat my food. My manager says we can’t have a microwave either.

I've never worked at a store without one... I don't believe that is a policy, but I'm not 100% sure!
