Starbucks interview (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by element148
So i just had my interview, and it lasted for a good long 20 mins. I wore all black clothing for the interview. Met the employees, and i got my self a frappucino. I asked a bunch of questions at the manager, " how do i get the black apron? How long is training? How do you operate the espresso machine?". She asked me what I knew about Starbucks and i told her when the company started and it's mission statement. I told her about the drinks that i knew such as frapps, macchiatos, americanos, lattes, mochas. I told her that i was available from 6-12 (morning to noon). I asked like a bunch of questions and maintained eye contact. She told me she would call by the end of the day if i got the job. So do you think I will have a good chance of getting the job?

Definitely follow up—if you really want the job, send a thank you note for the interview. That will help you stand out.

My experience was different. I was hired at a hiring event. I was in a group of a mid thirties man who moved here from another state who wanted to get hired for the SCAP program and the other person in my group was a 16 y/0 high school student who could only work two days a week. My availability was wide open so I felt confident I would get the job. I called maybe 4 days after the interview to see if I got the job and my SM said he was glad I called because he wanted to hire me but lost my contact info (even though I brought 3 copies of my resume to the interview!) Just follow up :) annoy them into giving you the job haha

That depends on your area and the demand for the position. If there are lots of others being interviewed / applying the chances go down.

Most likely the manager is still conducting other interviews and will decide once they’ve intervened everyone on the list, if there is one.

Yeah, the manager told me that she had other interviewers coming on,so I will definitely consider a follow up call. Thank you!
