There’s so much more Fd up crap happening but I’m literally on my way to work as I’m typing this.. so I guess I’d have to sit down and make a full post of what’s going on.. I just really don’t want to quit because it’s so hard for me to find jobs and I don’t want to feel like a dick knowing we’re short handed and then leaving

I can’t help with the short staffed problem or stressed, but if you have any questions we’re here to answer them! (and we don’t judge you!)

Thank You! I can tell the longer I’m here I’ll be able to adjust to the environment. I have an autistic coworker who just started working and he witnessed my supervisor (trainer) getting snappy with me about not making cold brew iced coffee (the big bucket of coffee in the back) .. and I was never taught how to make it. So she told him to show me how to make it, and as he was showing me it he told me I’m not the only one who gets treated roughly... that made me feel bad knowing he feels like he’s getting treated rough.

As far as questions... How long did it take you to be comfortable with being a barista at Starbucks?

A while, but my situation is probably different. I started in high school, so I only worked one day shift a week, so I didn’t learn how to make cold brew/urnex etc for a long time.

I also had one shift supervisor who irrationally HATED me and I would have baby panic attacks at work. I got comfortable at work when he left, honestly. But I got the bar stuff down in about a month or so probably.

Yeah I’m learning the bar pretty quickly! Aw no I’m sorry you went through that. Yeah I have mini panic attacks from time to time through out my shift especially during big rushes when we’re short handed and no one is support making whip cream or restocking ice haha!!
