Heyo specialty reserve stores, how should my store care for a syphon machine? (self.starbucksbaristas)

My store has used a cotton filter for months on end, until the water is yellow when it's transferring to the upper chamber; and it's really awkward when the customer is filming the process, or questioning it. Additionally, we wash the filter with a small scrubing brush and hot water to wash out any grounds that happens to be stubborn and stuck.
Should we just change to disposable paper filters? And if so, will it remove the oils from the beans if it's brewed like the cotton filter?
