In less than six months I went from wondering if my career was going anywhere, to winning the District Level Championship, to getting promoted to manager! I’m so excited! And a bit over whelmed but overall very excited!!! (imgur.com)

EEEEEEE!!! That is so exciting! May I ask, what did you do before coming to Sbux?

Where are you that you're job title is 'Starbucks Manager'? Here in the US it's called 'Store Manager'.

First, thanks! It’s super exciting!! 😊

Second, I’m a “Starbucks Manager” because I work in a kiosk inside a local grocery chain. 😊

I used to hop jobs. This is the first time I’ve ever held a job longer than a year. Not due to being fired or anything but do to boredom and other factors. I worked as a barista for about 8 months and quit to try my hand at being a vet tech. Turns out I can’t physically nor mentally handle the job. I’m just glad I figured it out within a short time. So when my old store had an opening for a lead, I found myself missing my old coffee days and applied. The store manager (the grocery store manager) was so excited to see my name that I was hired almost instantly.

The manager that was there when I it there became pregnant within a month of me being hired. She maintained her position up to and a little after the baby. She decided pretty quickly this wasn’t gonna work for her so she stepped down. The store manager was a little freaked but when he asked if I wanted to do it, I immediately said yes! I’m just about to start my Starbucks Managment Cert. (I forgot what my DM called it)

But again, thanks!!!! 😊
