I barely had any experience and they took me. I guess it’s all down to your people skills and ability to show them that you’re eager to be there.

The stores I’ve worked in usually hire people in as baristas first, but then people with management potential can be fast-tracked to shift, or hired with the plan to be a shift in the near future. I think they like people to learn the basics and the Starbucks culture before taking on management responsibilities. I’m sure this varies greatly on the area and the current needs of the store too, so don’t be discouraged!
