Sub under new moderation, coming in peace (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by StormTheParade
Hey guys. You might know me...infamously... as the most active moderator over at /r/Starbucks. You probably don't like me. I kinda wanna rectify that here, per se.
I took over the subreddit coz I'm a corporate shill ^^^(/s) who saw that the subreddit was sitting with no moderators but a consistent amount of activity. Threw a request into /r/redditrequest, had it accepted, and now I am the sole moderator here. I don't get paid to moderate or uphold rules, and this sub is distinguished in name from the brand, so I don't even particularly feel a large need to uphold some sort of standard of niceties here.
I want to put you guys in charge. I'm only setting forth one specific rule, and I'm going to be straightforward about it, no loopholes or technicalities:
* Don't post *direct images* of internal documents.
I don't give a shit what else is discussed here, honestly. Corporate has been playing this bullshit back-and-forth with us about what we can and can't say online, so I'm finally just playing their game. The documents themselves are internal resources. But I don't see the leakers on Twitter and Facebook losing their jobs because they talked about the zombie frappuccino three weeks in advance... thus, discuss to your hearts' content - release dates, drinks, foods, whatever.
That said, you'll probably want to avoid giving away your (and others') personal information, just in case. Try to keep your partner numbers censored (top of receipts!) and hide your store numbers (green apron boards, shipping labels, etc). And, of course, try to be nice to each other, but really unless it gets to be excessive, I don't really care what you say to each other.
Other than that, I want to put this under your control. I saw *somebody* has been around to report the occasional post, so I want to know what y'all want to see more or less of around here. Do we allow student surveys? Vloggers and reviewers shilling blogs and videos? Etsy advertisements? Do you guys want an FAQ or some sort of resource in the sidebar? Should we allow NSFW rule 34 stuff? I thought about making this a satire sub, somehow, even.
I'm not going to kill this sub in some sort of twisted attempt to redirect traffic to the other one, either. Fuck that.
Is anybody even active enough here to want anything for the subreddit? Flairs, weeklies, whatever?
