Did anyone else get a notice about Hartford? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey guys. I’ve been a barista for 2 years now. May 13 of this year I began my maternity leave. Last week I get a letter from The Hartford that my employer terminated my group life plan as of 10/1/18.
I have never been enrolled in ANY Starbucks benefits. So I’m not sure what they are terminating. The letter comes with no explanation other then “you are receiving this letter because of changes in your employment status”
Did anyone else get this letter? Just curious.

Idk if Starbucks used to have this but a lot of employers buy life insurance for the employee in the event they die at work that it's covered and the family doesn't have to worry about the cost. They can also take it away if they don't want to pay for it anymore. Mostly because the company had their own insurance if the employee dies just to cover their own butt.

I wonder if that’s what happened. Though I spoke with everyone I work with and I’m apparently the only one to get this letter. I sort of thought it was something to do with my leave.
