Need help training. (self.starbucksbaristas)

I've been at Starbucks for a week and haven't been able to get a lot of training yet. Today I was introduced to the p.o.s. system and I'm so discouraged! Im still not familar with the drinks and can't get my trainer to be very articulate with explanations. I'd love to be able to study/train on my own before I have to go back. Does anyone know of any resources for training material or methods or tips or advice? It would be much appreciated.

It will get worse. And then it will get better. The more you practice, the better you’ll get. Write things down if it helps. And divide everything by method of preparation.

Study the mobile order app. It has all the drinks with all the options and it will help get you comfortable with what’s in all the drinks. Also, there should be recipe cards to look at too. Mostly though it’s just on the job and it is a lot to learn. Don’t be discouraged, it will all come together so in a few weeks or so. Good luck!!!
