Starbucks Partners of Reddit: have any of you asked for a raise (successfully or not)? I'm in a situation in which I feel I should start being compensated differently, and was wondering what kind of experiences other partners had had.

I'm pretty sure rates are determined by corporate based on location/time of employment/position and not up to the individual SM. I might be mistaken, but I haven't met anyone who got an individual raise who wasn't getting promoted

This is what I know also. We receive annual raises in January that are, like stated above, determined by location and yada yada.
Previously, raises were performance based and 2 times a year, at a smaller rate.
Im under the impression that each SM has the ability to start you at a rate they see fit (although there is a maximum provided by corporate, likely experience and region based) in a small window of time. After that, that's just where you are until the new year or you have stepped up.
