Annoying Customer (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by queenofmarketing
Had a customer come in this morning ordered 4 scoops of match in a Venti cup of ice. Proceeded to fill the entire cup with half & half from the condiment bar. SMH. Paid 96 cents for a $4 drink. Worst part is that he was bragging to other customers about how cheap his drink was and that they all should try it :/

In case that happens again, the correct way to charge for "matcha water" is to use the custom iced tea button and then add the matcha. It ends up being a $4 drink and is the policy on that order. Doesn't stop them from using the condi bar but it does make their drink a little more expensive.

This!!! Someone ordered “matcha water” in dt and I think they were expected it to be cheaper than it was bc they had coins in their hand and when I told them the total they counted the coins and ended up using their card instead. A way to remember it and if a customer has anything to say about it: Matcha is a tea so giving them just the powder and ice is the same as giving someone teabags without water. You still charge for a tea.

They also updated the beverage resource manual with ringing this in properly...came across it recently when looking for something else.

I'll have to look on Monday to tell you exactly but I think it might be in the hot tea section in the beverage resource manual ... Just search on the hub for that.

Its on page 19 of the beverage resource manual.......it says to select size and then select custom iced tea for both hot and iced versions.
