Hey guysss. Thanksomuch for the support. I got through my 2nd shift shadowing other senior baristas and doing POS after our peak around 12 even though it was just explained to me my first day training. I thought I was gonna do bad because I have no prior experience with register since its my first job but I did well with the help of my partners. They were super super nice and very helpful when I asked questions. I kept apologizing to them but they told me I was fine and I’m doing good. I kinda felt bad though lol. This girl on hot bar even told me I had one rude customer but I didn’t notice it because I was too busy pressing buttons on POS 😭😂. Anyway, it’s not like I really give a damn about rude customers because I just brush them off but my partner was really pissed at him. So yeah, 2nd shift for me was really fun and I got to meet my new partners as well 🤘🏻

You can just walk behind the bar and go to the back and ask whoever is free where they need you, or if you have time you can go to the register, get a drink (remember your numbers to get your free one) and ask them :) hope it goes well! I was super nervous for my first few weeks and this job is more stressful than I had anticipated, so don’t beat yourself up if you’re having a hard time. I’ve been here since mid-August and barred by myself through a few crazy lunch rushes this week and finally felt comfortable. Be patient with yourself <3
ps, caffeine can make your anxiety SO much worse so try to keep your intake low for a while lol

I started on the floor a week ago today and am still trying to figure out the flow.
I’m a rehire; a few things have changed since my first “Starbucks Tour Of Duty” but almost everything else is the same.
Trust yourself, study the drinks when you can, ask questions.
Every partner brings their own special something; most importantly... it’s just fucking coffee! You got this!

Congrats, you will love this job! As a Starbucks trainer I say clock in and look for the shift supervisor. That shift will direct you where to go and what to do. There is so much to learn and it takes time. You will do GREAT!
