If your background comes back and is denied, appeal the decision and write a letter explaining how you’ve changed and how you can demonstrate that change I.e. theft classes you‘be taken, completing your sentence, community service, personal development, and maybe a character witness to write a letter on your behalf. I know at least one partner who has done this and it worked. Everyone makes mistakes and Starbucks loves a good underdog story.
