I can not, for the life of me figure out why so many baristas use that zany game show host greeting in dto. It really grinds my gears.

I use it during drive through! Almost like I am speaking to their dog.

I use it when I’m really frustrated or irritated and trying to stay friendly with customers, personally. Some of my coworkers do it to make us laugh and keep things positive.
