Hopped off my 5am flight, hit up the bux right outside my gate, waited in line for a good minute (which I never really mind), then ordered my beverage.
I waited patiently, I even WATCHED as the barista let my shots die for an entire minute. But me, being a partner and knowing the struggle, AND considering it was an airport location (I can only imagine how much more stressful that is), I didn’t say anything or ask for a remake. But now, as I sit in gate C6 of the Charlotte, North Carolina airport, I’m regretting not being a bitchy customer because this shit NASTY
Next time I’ll not make the mistake and just wait for the remake 🤢🤮
Side note: I got a cheese danish as well and she informed me they couldn’t warm it, and if that was okay. Of course my hungry ass took it I genuinely don’t care but is that airport protocol? They didn’t even HAVE ovens so they couldn’t warm any of the pastries even if they wanted to. I’m honestly just curious!

I had a similar problem at an airport.... had been up since 3am to start our honeymoon. Land in Orlando around 11am. Haven’t had any coffee yet. So my husband stopped at the bux right by our gate while I went to baggage claim.... he comes down to baggage claim with my macchiato. With. No. Espresso. I shit you not, they made me an espresso drink with no espresso. And of course it was on the other side of security so I was stuck with a cup of flavored milk. Needless to say, I was no happy with the barista or my husband. 😂

Sometimes with coffee shops on airports and college campuses, they are actually not run directly by Starbucks. Instead they buy the rights to use the franchise. You see it all the time with big name brands like costa and others. I know that the Starbucks in my airport is a franchise

I make all my green beans drink dead shots so they know how gross they are. Helped a lot on remaking drinks!! I’m so sorry you had a bad experience

I have a partner who is newly on bar and she gets sooooo mad at me when I make her pull her shots over because she went and made 4 cold bar drinks and let the shots die.
