\*What\* new social media policies?
bellsbarista 4 points 4y ago
i’m not sure. all i know is the admin of the group said it had to be removed immediately because it wasn’t starbucks approved with the social media policies being put in place. i didn’t bother asking for details because i was upset:/ it sucks because i needed a fatter christmas check but i guess we’re getting set back about a decade.

"Welcome to Starbucks, where we're known for our coffee, not our technology".

Y'know what's *really* bass-ackwards? I've been a Partner for 9 years, and it's always been common practice to just give out Partners' phone #'s to random *other* Partners who call the store looking for coverage.

Like anyone answers their phone from a # they don't know, but I digress.

So privacy has nothing to do with company policy? 🤔😒

I don’t know the actual policy, but I’ve always been under the impression that you aren’t supposed to give out phone numbers. I usually write down the shifts they need covered and tell them I’ll pass it on and if someone wants it they’ll call them back to confirm. No one has ever acted surprised by this or accused me of holding back on them, so I’ve never really considered doing anything else. I’m always willing to go help out another store, but I would be kinda weirded out if a random partner I’d never met before tried to contact me.
