So Former Starbucks barista here. So is my 2nd week starting my work at Starbucks, I’m loving it, and the coffee. So early morning shift serving and making coffee, you know the norm.
A old man comes up and tells there is a problem. I told no worries we can help you, what is the problem I asked. He says that there is no toilet paper, and I’m like, sorry bout that, I can get from the back, gimme 2 secs. The old man grabs my arm before I can go and says Very slowly, “That is not the issue here, I need to show you something In the bathroom”
I proceed to the bathroom with the old man assuming that there is something wrong with the facilities. I go in and the old man closes and locks the door behind me. Now me here just starting my job, got nervous af and started wondering what was happening.
The old man again says that there is no toilet paper and looks at me. About a few seconds later he goes into a lengthy but very detailed discussion on how he had to wipe the feces with his finger and wash it with each turn.
I stand there, mortified and nearly laughing. I apologize to him about the situation and left the bathroom. I proceed to ask my line manager if opening shift made sure everything was stocked, he said yes.
So I checked the bathroom a few minutes later, turns out there was toilet paper. The old man just didn’t know where to look properly.
TD/lR: Old man proceed to take Barista into bathroom and explain how he wiped his feces with his finger, cause he couldn’t find toilet paper
