Y’all okay, so yesterday I was soloing ringing and makin drinks, and this lady asked for a “Chai Tea Latte with Nonfat, no foam and 190 DEGREES” I shit you not I steamed it till bout 190 because it was bout to bubble over, I give it to her, she takes a sip IMMEDIATELY, says “ooh perfect” without even wincing. HOW??????? How does she still have a tongue left??

I used to get 190 degree mochas and did the same thing as her. Sips are ok, big gulps are not recommended.

How 😂 I can’t even handle the normal 147 degree temp let alone 190

Lol. I HATE cold coffee. Even warm is kinda gross. So to almost boiling I go. I like extremes in drinks. Very, very cold drinks and very, very hot.

I have a regular who does this with soy.

Once she asked me if i could make an Americano extra hot and i just stared

“Sure, yeah, let me just make it with 3 shots of espresso topped with lava.”

Yesterday I had someone order a nonfat latte at 195 degrees!!!!!! We rang it out that way on her ticket but I could only steam it to 190 without it boiling over. I’d imagine it adversely affects the taste of the milk when it’s that hot, too. People are crazy lol.

Yes people are crazy, I don’t even think you taste anything at that point. Like all your tastebuds have to be burnt off by then right??

It affects the taste and the pitcher. Anything above I believe 180 and the pitcher should be sanitized before being used again
