Trying to Move Other Places (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by wavyconscientiousnes
Hey there! I’m a shift supervisor currently working in the States and I’m heavily considering moving to Germany for a couple of years and I’d prefer to take my job with me (also willing to step down to barista as I will have essentially no bills except maybe a phone bill) but I’m not sure how to go about doing this? Is it possible to move to a franchise store and keep my benefits (I have eye insurance, have my 401k set up & am in school through Arizona State)

I moved from a franchise location to corporate a few years back and as far as I’m aware, benefits don’t roll over because it’s two separate owning parties. The franchise is owned by an outside source so they don’t work with Starbucks at all (although I could be wrong, my situation might have just been really specific). I worked in a Kroger Starbucks and we worked under Kroger benefits (which were bad).
