I wouldn’t ask for her number. It puts her on the spot and might make her uncomfortable. Instead, do what my now best friend (u/caffekona)did when she wanted to date me. Ask if she would like to go out sometime (maybe get coffee at a local shop?), and give her your number. That way she can contact you if she wants to. If she doesn’t contact you or mention it again, just don’t bring it up. The answer is no.

I like that actually. what if it's always early you know, like before 630, theres rarely anyone after her and it's usually just me and 2 other people in store, but I'll listen to your advice it seems wiser lol

I didn’t even know my friend was asking me out, honesty. I thought she just wanted to be my friend, and that made it so much less awkward for me! As a woman, that’s definitely how I would prefer to be approached.

Yeah giving her an out like that will make her feel safer and less put on the spot. I asked u/fuckingskeletor out for coffee and wrote my name and number on the cup. I felt so slick, lol.
