First off, my advice probably isn’t what you want to hear. But you should tell him exactly this. The job can be stressful, all too often it is. I know how hard it can be to have this conversation, but you need to have it. Tell him you want to be better, hopefully if he hears you say that (people seem to respond better to a call for cooperation rather than criticism).
I’ve been on both sides of this situation, and I hope for your sake it works out well. But hopefully he realizes what he’s doing and changes. If that goes nowhere, then escalate it to your manager and then your district manager, and so on if nothing happens.

Also want to add, talk to your manager about this and let them know that you want to have this conversation. They should be in the know and have your back. Best case scenario they schedule/give you the time to have it, worst case scenario you’ve got evidence that you tried before having to escalate.
