So this guy who’s super rude and I s a 6 figure stock holder in the company comes into my store every winter. We’re in the south and he’s from Canada. Last year I had an altercation with him over some chairs and tables and he was very disrespectful I asked him to leave. That’s how I found out his “status” in the company. Fast forward to yesterday. The man literally stole money out of the tip jar to pay for his coffee which by the way is a double espresso macchiato in a tall cup with foam to the top... but that’s for a bother tine. Me and my partner looked at him like is this seriously happening. I couldn’t say anything in the moment without getting emotional because of his disrespect from the last tine left me scarred. I called it in. My question is. He’s coming in today what do I do? PCC said to call the police my manager and dm don’t want us calling the police at all... and I refuse to serve him and so does my closer. Do I just tell him he has to leave??

I’ve had customers try to steal our tips for there drinks and just steal them all together. I personally wouldn’t allow him back in. Just because of his holding doesn’t give him the right to take money that isn’t his to pay for his drink. Also technically if he’s getting a “double espresso with foam to top of a tall cup” that’s a dry cappuccino with an add shot. Because a Double EM is two shots and one maybe two scoops foam in short, nothing more otherwise it’s charged as the drink it’s meant to be

In my opinion, owning stock in a company doesn’t mean you can go act outside the norms and policies of a store. If something is unacceptable from a regular customer it is unacceptable coming from him. Taking tips is more than enough to ask him to leave. SMs would get fired for messing with tips. Owning stock doesn’t make someone more entitled to anything at the storefront level. They might be eligible for dividends or certain voting rights or possibly even offers from corporate. But your expectations for service don’t change.

We have it on camera and we have witnesses . PCC was called and they advised us to call the police next time he comes in the problem is the dm doesn’t want us calling the police unless lives are in danger. We’re just refusing to serve him. Plain and simple

If you aren’t getting support from your partners, call SSC.
Stealing tips is shit.
Six Digit should be held accountable like a regular customer & punished like a regular customer.
Actually, he should be held to an even higher standard BECAUSE he’s not only a Six Digit but FIRST and foremost a partner like the rest of us.
That said, have proof to back up your claim and/or witnesses because Six Digit will deny it.

Edit: we’ve got a Six Digit at our store, too. You’re not alone.

Sounds like a JOKE. Tell him to get out of the store!
