Something managers want is to see you rely on your other partners. I would completely stop asking the manager for help and rely on your teammates! She sounds like a real cunt, I’d stay clear of her a much as possible. You’ve been there a week, no one expects you to know anything yet! Don’t get discouraged!!! Generally, in my experience, managers know less than the baristas anyways.

Also, I would always close the customer out. Unless they are paying cash & they seem to need a minute to get it together, then I will do something really quickly, like get their grande pike or at least take his pumpkin bread out of the package, giving you a bit of a head start.

I quit because of this. I've now been unemployed since October and I'm struggling.
