How do you keep whipped cream at the bottom of a Frappuccino? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by TheFinalSam
I work in a really small shop with one other person, we occasionally get customers who. Ask for whip at the bottom and neither one of us has been able to figure it out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’ve found that pouring slow and making sure you’ve covered the entirety of the whipped cream at the bottom before pouring more quickly helps keep it there. Kinda hard to explain without showing you but hopefully you get what I’m saying lol

I always tap (i.e. slam) the cup on the counter a few times to get it to stick, like if you’re trying to get ketchup out of a glass bottle haha

You hold the cup at an angle while you *slowly* pour in the frappuccino so that it slides down the side of the cup instead of disturbing your whip. 👍 ( Other than that Starbucks has these big squarish spoons that you could coax and flatten the whip cream down a bit so it sticks better, which works. Our store is so really busy though, so there's really no time for that, and no need if you pour the frappuccino down the side of the cup it works). Good luck on your whip cream journey!

The easiest way is to use a slightly overflowing scoop of ice so the frap kinda splats over the whip and keeps it down instead of flowing underneath! A touch of extra ice!

I was going to mention this cause I noticed if the person gets a shot or the frap is too watery then the whip floats to the center

Pour from side to side of the cup instead of straight down. It’ll layer over the whip cream and prevent the whip cream from shooting up the sides

The best way I've personally found is to sort of shake the blender back and forth so it isn't just pouring straight down, it's spreading over a wider area and isn't as heavy. It sits a lot better when I do it that way.
