Your Cup Should Never Be Half Empty(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by cactusgrab
This freaking dude comes in all the time with these little “sorry we hecked up your drink” vouchers, and orders a cappuccino. I’m at a Tarbucks, not a stand-alone, but there is one about a mile away. I have no idea how he has SO MANY of them, and he’s a real dick about them. We’ve tried telling him no but he brings them in anyway. Does anyone know how he’s getting so many? Or what I can do about it? We literally don’t even have the button to ring them on our registers lmao

Green Bean here. Took one of these the first day on POS... My manager told me, “Good job on Assuming the Best, but that guy is a liar. Never accept those again.” 😅

yo we had an incident like that. some guy would order a short cappuccino and would go out of his WAY to get it for free. from:
Cuck: "hey i had a birthday reward i never redeemed"
me: "when was your birthday?"
cuck: "july"
me: "yeah sorry its december we cant redeem that"
cuck: "i'm calling corporate"
to...
Cuck: i wanna redeem this coupon
me: "hey this coupon is from 2006 and it clearly says expires january 1st of 2007, i cant accept this."
Cuck : "i'm calling corporate"
me: "go for it"
oh and this is the best one
cuck: "can i see your manager?"
me: "he's on a lunch right now but i can take a message"
cuck: "sorry this is manager stuff, its way over your head"
me: "oh is it because the barista who made your drink touched a broom to move it before he made it?"
cuck: "yes and i should get this drink for free"
me: "oh so its not way over my head"
Point is, look at the coupons closely before you try to redeem them

Is it like a gift card that says “the next ones on us -$4 off your next visit” or something else?
Yeahhhh those are what we used to hand out years ago for botched drinks/orders/etc! There was no limit on the price of the drink they could get. It’s legit, but having a big package of them probably isn’t. You used to be able to buy them on eBay IIRC.

Something else. It’s a folded card that says “your cup should never be half empty” or something like that
