Qualifications to become a certified barista? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey everyone! I have a quick question, what exactly does it take and what steps do I have to take to become a certified barista? Or does it just happen after working for so long?

I had my barista certification test after two weeks on the job, not sure how other stores do it. If you're interested, remind your SM about it! They just need to schedule the time to do it-- it only takes about 20 minutes as I remember?

\-making different drinks (i.e. "make a grande blonde caramel macchiato")
\-order for making drinks while in (\~rhythm ?? blanking on word) i.e. steam milk, queue shots, pump syrup, steam milk drink 2, queue shots drink 2, pump syrup drink 2, finish drink 1
\-explaining how to make iced coffee, iced tea, hot coffee...
\-explaining difference between blonde espresso and regular
