I had a day like this once, it was a Sunday. Every car was a huge order, the line backed up so people started coming inside to order, I was manning drive and front simultaneously, while my barista was making drinks. I felt like we were going down in flames until a customer at the front said to me “dude, people are tipping you 20’s” that I realized, despite the wait times we had it under control. I’ve never felt so much relief when the rest of the crew all got in ( I had called everyone and they all showed up at the same time). But looking back, it’s a weird thing to brag about, but I do. Mainly because when it gets busy and everyone is getting jumpy, in my head I’m like “you have no idea what real busy is”
Congratulations on getting through a true busy shift.
