I was wondering if being employed by both Coffee Bean and Starbucks as a Barista will be an issue. I’m a partner in LA and recently got hired at Coffee Bean as I needed a second job to catch up on bills. I know they are both corporations and can they both terminate as they are competition to one another and don’t want to have me as an employee as I’m insider for each of their competition. Just curious if it’ll be an issue ?

Starbs will ask you to leave one or the other. No competition jobs.

Incorrect. The policy states that hourly (barista, shift supervisor) partners can indeed work for a competitor, as long as they are not in a true managerial position at either one.

TBH as long as you don't bring it up you're probably fine. Bux really doesn't monitor the pleb baristas that closely unless they are publicly talking about inside information.
