Cute clothes are fine, I almost always wear dresses and leggings and look cute from the ankles up... But even my $100 culinary school nonslips got eaten up in less than a year on the floor. The Walmart ones have some leather shoes that look a bit like chucks from the same line but I don't think they are as comfortable as the clogs and definitely not as easy to clean. Pretty much nobody is going to see your feet so having clunky basic black shoes will 100% go unnoticed. I've been working with my little team for over a year and couldn't tell you what kind of shoes any of them wear other than my manager (leather Tom's types, because we talked about it once) and one ssv (because she wears grey and blue running shoes that are definitely not in dress code and that bothers me lol).

Oh, worth noting that our dress code DOES specify what materials shoes can be made of and I believe canvas is something that is excluded but you should definitely make sure you're compliant before you buy anything.
