This is an issue with training that I encountered myself. I believe most places are really that harsh- at least from my experience- but you won’t lose your job for asking questions. I did that every time I couldn’t remember something and honestly still do.
I also brought this up with Adam Modzel, my regional director of operations, when we had a meeting for new baristas. EVERYONE in the room said their training was too harsh and too short. I’m in the DC metro area so I don’t know if this applies to you, but emailing people like your district manager for support would be a good idea.
Good luck- we’re here if you need us, and if you don’t remember something you can ask me!

Much easier answer, yes. You’re doing great, every one learns at a different pace.

Definitely the people you work with. I’ve been a partner for only over a month and I have probably the most supportive team, they can laugh off my mistakes and they teach me with such kindness. And only being there a month I’ve even been comfortable enough to be pushy to get on hot and cold bar to try and get a good grip on it and now I regularly spend the last hour or two of my shifts working a support position between register and bar, i really hope you figure out a way to improve your stores attitudes because it really makes a difference! Maybe even be honest with your manager about your trainer?

Its for the people you work with. Its my 4th week working at starbucks and i still don't know how to make some drinks but my co workers are always happy to help me out.

I've honestly had the opposite problem. Where it took 2 months for me to even receive bar training. It's not like I wasn't asking for it either. My coworkers have been great though and very understanding about the situation. The problem is I usually work peak hours and they don't have the time to work with me like they want to. (They have tried) I'm actually doing the partner hub training at hone because it was just taking so long and I'm so frustrated. On the other hand I've got POS and DTR down. DTO is starting to click and Customer Support is coming together.
