What to do in this situation attention Starbucks baristas! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by pshpshpsh69
Hey so I’m a regular customer at my local Starbucks I study there and come in almost 5-6 times a week. Me and the manager of the Starbucks have flirted many times and he honestly stares at me every time. I don’t ever want to overstep and ask him out at work, and we have never had a second alone to talk. But I’m moving away in two months and I hate regretting shit. What’s the best way to ask him/get to know him? My friend who is his coworker says he’s single and thinks “highly” of me LOL.

Thanks!

Sorry if isn’t the right place for this I just didn’t know.

“Hi. My name is (insert name here.) I think you’re attractive. Would you like to go out sometime?”

He’s just a person. Just like you. (Presumably.)

I’m scared he’s just being friendly and doing his job :(, customer service and all

Hey I get it. I’m a barista, so I can tell you from my experience, flirting is not in the handbook. Lol. It’s always worth a shot! Like you said, you don’t want to regret it if you don’t ask. Shoot for the moon boo. Good luck. :)

Yeah I wrote a note and while he was leaving today I chickened ouT LOL

Tuck a note with his name on it in the tip jar with your phone number on it, no name. Maybe a ;) ? Be sly if you can. If he's into you he'll probably guess who it is. Most sbux teams are pretty chill with each other so the baristas will probably help you out too. We love tea and not the kind that's from leaves.

I really don’t want this to come across mean/rude but I do wonder why do you want to get to know him now if you’re leaving in a couple months?
