Hey guys, question: is it normal for an SM to ask you for a doctor’s note when you call in sick? When I told my parents that I needed a doctor’s note (which i did end up getting), they were really confused and asked me why they needed a note.
The only reason I’m asking is bc I’ve called in sick before when I worked at Hollister a while ago and they never asked for a note.

Some places will require a doctor's note but I was told that Starbucks policy was to not require one. Goes along with the believing the best in everyone thing.

my manager only asks for a doctor's note if we call in sick for more than 2 days in a row. although I do work at a licensed location, so that might change things.
