Baristas, how do I order this drink?! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by eatthemac
Starbucks baristas, I need your help! I ordered a drink one time, loved it, and now can’t seem to get the same result again at different locations. I’d love if some of you baristas would let me know how to order this (or what you’d ring it up as) so i don’t need to torture any future beloved baristas.

I ordered: Grande iced coffee with one pump caramel and light skim milk, with sweet cold foam (no salt, just sweet cold foam).

The result: A delicious balance of super lightly sweetened iced coffee with heavenly sweet cold foam on top.

I have tried looking on the mobile app to discover what the official way to order this would be, but all I find is cold foam (seems to be unsweetened), cascara cold foam (seems to be very very lightly sweetened, i’m looking for much sweeter), and salted cold foam (seems to be more salty than sweet).

Any recommendations for how I order it to make it as clear and easy as possible for the barista? THANK YOU!

I think you might be looking for the vanilla sweet cream instead of cold foam? That’s popular to order with cold brew and probably tastes good in iced coffee too!

ooh, maybe that is it!! would that be a layer of what looks like foam on top or would it be mixed into the coffee? thank you so much!

You can have this either way.

The “Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew” is vanilla syrup with cold brew and the Vanilla Sweet Cream mixed in.

However we also offer the “Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew” which is, I assume, what you are referring to when you’re requesting it without salt, as for this drink we blend the Vanilla Sweet Cream with salt, it foams up, and it sits on top of the drink (for a bit, before it sinks down into the cold brew).

So, if I’m not mistaken, you’re looking for a grande 1 pump caramel iced coffee with a splash of nonfat milk and Sweet Cream Cold Foam on top (with no salt added).

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to do this on the app. Looking at the “Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew,” I don’t see any way to remove the salt. When trying to add it it to an iced coffee or cold brew, the only option I see is for regular Cold Foam.

Is there a notes section on the app? If there is they could put no salt in there!

unfortunately there is not 😞 which is a bummer because I prefer mobile ordering so I don’t have to look like such a basic b in front of the poor baristas

I think this is a drink much easier ordered in person, ask them for your regular grande or whatever sized iced coffee, add cold foam if you want actual foam and not whipped cream, but ask them to use Sweet Cream not Nonfat milk.

Thank you!! sweet cream cold foam seems like the key! i’m giving it a try tomorrow 💯

Yeah, no problem :) it seemed like that’s exactly what you were asking for!

You would order your grande iced coffee with one pump of caramel, add sweet cream cold foam. That will get you the sweet cold foam layer on top if the iced coffee!:)

So on the app it would be:

Iced coffee with milk
Cup:
Grande (obviously)
Syrup:
no classic (assuming you don’t want the normal sweetener)
1 pump caramel
Toppings:
Sweet Cold Brew Whipped Cream (regular)
Milk:
Nonfat

The only problem with this is you can’t control how much skin then put in from the app.

At the register. It would be:
Grande iced coffee with sweet cream, light nonfat milk, one pump of caramel, no classic (if you don’t. Want the normal sweetener)
