There may not be a position available to move into at the store you trained in. It can’t hurt to try.

I’m not sure how long you’ve been at the new store but it could also be that you just need to give it some more time. Also, speaking as someone who works in a DT store, you do get used to the headset. If you’re not in a critical position, you can always turn the headset down which will minimize some of the sound and when I’m on POS and have a customer, I just shift my headset off my ear so I can give them my full attention.

I had the very same issue. Eventually you will get used to it and when you're on cafe bar you shouldn't really be wearing a headset or while you're on till (I know this depends on staffing etc) if it makes you feel better I made myself go on drive thru so that I could see what it was like and be able to answer the voices in the head set. I hope you end up liking it!
