Yes, which is why the extremely forced customer connection bothers me. I really do love connecting with customers, but its only really enjoyable when the customer wants to connect as well. Now that it’s being enforced so adamantly, it’s really uncomfy to talk to someone who clearly doesn’t want to talk or someone who absolutely makes you uncomfortable and gives you the heebiejeebies. It puts a lot of partners in horribly uncomfortable and potentially even dangerous situations.

You are 100% not alone. We have a regular who comes through the drive thru who is ALWAYS creepy with whichever girl is in the window. We all hate when he comes through

Yes! Harry the creepy old man that keeps his beautiful cat inside his car while he people watches for hours on end in our lobby. He’s a huge creep and I’m trying to swindle his last name out of him so I can look him up on the California Sex Offender list. This man has the balls to look women up and down while he sits his nasty ass in our chairs and ask them meaningless questions. The worst time when was when he felt the need to comment on a young girls’, “silky, beautiful brunette hair” while standing next to her mother. I absolutely cannot stand this man and I am certain he is certified creep!

Have you considered calling the cops on him for leaving his cat in his car? I'd be concerned about it getting too hot in there for the kitty ! Yikes
Doseiaii4 points4y ago
yes! this is very illegal and very much can get him into some trouble.

Yeah we have a regular named Bob as well and he's always bitching at me about not yelling out drinks loud enough, the milk is steaming too loud and he doesn't like it, and he also hates is when we leave the register to put his sandwich in the oven lol

We have one that everyone tries to avoid. Last time I helped her she accused me of stealing $5. Shes made racist and homophobic remarks to coworkers (most of whom are black or LGBTQ). Either our manager or the one straight white guy we've got take care of her now
Doseiaii6 points4y ago
she shouldn't be allowed in the store at that point? I mean if she wishes to keep her comments to herself but verbal harassment is still harassment and services can be denied if she's doing it (from what i'm told anyways)

Yes. There’s one guy who comes to my store every day and gets coffee refills (he works in the mall where my store is) and the first time I waited on him he snapped his fingers at me and called me “girl.” Now when I see him coming I turn around and walk off. Lol

Yeah... I just transferred stores due to a promotion and I now avoid the fuck out of Charles(name changed) a regular who comes in multiple times a day - whom I matched with on tinder months back and then proceeded to send me unwanted dick pics. He texted me the other day and now when he walks in my partners tell me to go to the back no matter how busy it is. Fun stuff. Get off dating apps kids.

We have a decaf dude that is annoying as hell. He comes in at night, loves to tell anybody behind the bar that he used to be a doctor. Orders a passion tea: no water, no shaking, and like 4 ice cubes. He orders this so that in that we can brew a 1/2 batch of decaf coffee with espresso coffee beans. He also used to insist on the personal cup discount because he uses our mug for his coffee. Although, he stopped doing that once one of our older more experienced baristas was like “NO, that is not a personal cup.” But he was trying to start up again 🙄 which I was not having. I told the shift that wanted to start doing it again that, “no, I will not do that. He just stopped and I’m not doing that bull shit again and I don’t care that he has our DM’s number.” So because he’s a gold member the rest of his several drinks are free because they’re refills. For his coffee he takes soy but it’s like 3-4 oz of soy, and he gets like 3 to 4 cups of coffee. So he drinks like 1/2 box a day when he comes in. He never tips despite how needy he is. I see him walk in and just start on the coffee and I find something to do to avoid him the entire time he’s there. He always tries to talk to me and I just give bare minimum answers. Then my last shift he asked my shift manager if I was alright and he thinks I’m depressed.
Tl:dr I really hate a needy customer who doesn’t tip, has a ton of demands, and only pays for one drink but then gets like 6 refill drinks.

There's an older man who come through and refuses to really talk to anyone except my Male coworker. He gets the same thing every time (2 chocolate croissants and a tall upside down caramel macchiato) He also vigorously shakes his CM after I hand it to him despite it already being upside down and stirred

There is a girl that comes in and she is a massive ditz. She never knows how to order her drink and it changes everytime. I don’t know if she just isn’t very good at speaking English. But when we had a girl speak to her in Spanish it was worse.
Nobody can stand her and I can usually take on the nastiest of customers.
But when Ive got a line and I have to explain for the 80th time what a Frappuccino is. I’ll just pass her off to anyone else.
