Someone always has to do it. I don’t know but as a shift I usually do it all.

Normally people semi volunteer in my store we all work together to get it done- some people prefer tasks over customer interaction

There's not a limit on tasks, and it often depends on how many people are on the shift. I'm a night person at a small drive thru location so I do most if not all of the tasks.
