Store emails or kept in the dark?(self.starbucksbaristas)

My store has a group chat that has literally everyone on it. I’m new and already part of it as well. The manager will put up shifts from other stores or information that he feels we should know. I do believe he posted a picture about the new shirts as well but I don’t know if we got them yet

That literally sounds so nice and helpful. I know my store has a group chat for the shifts, but not the baristas....

It’s a grey area because communication about work is suppose to be on the clock: phone calls and emails. Its very difficult to compensate for texting so it’s not an official channel for communication for starbucks. Also the mantra of time worked is timed paid.
