Exactly, I had a customer ask for it and I told them we don't know the recipe and she kicked up a fuss saying another store made it for her. Like girl just look up the recipe and give it to me I'm not going to learn unofficial recipes in my spare time!

My main issue is that it’s been on the news and people come in and say they heard about it on the today show or whatever, so they don’t really have a reason to know it’s made up.

It's not our responsibility to learn how to make items these items. Show us the recipe, I stood up for a green bean because a teenager didn't show her the recipe and was pissed they didn't get their French vanilla raspberry frappuccino.

I saw an article on it and the site was kind enough to detail it was absolutely not on the menu, that there was a specific way to order it and i loved they took the time to do that. Customers however don’t read that just the Cadbury egg in a Frappuccino and go nuts. It tastes horrible too.

Yours must be made differently? The recipe I found was 1-3 pumps frap roast, 1-2 vanilla, .5-1 caramel and 2-4 scoops of vanilla bean. Not really like a java chip but that's the button we use to charge it lol

Yeah, had someone come into the store the other day and gave us the recipe to make it. We tried it and it straight up tastes like you shoved a fuckton of cookie dough cake pops in the frap machine with some vanilla bean

I happened to find it written down in one of our binders and thought it was a cute seasonal idea so I've been advertising it in my store but I made sure to write down the recipe and leave it by the register for the other employees lol. Also I made one for myself and it was freaking delicious 😂

We’ve had one person order it. She was surprised that we didn’t have the SeCrEt MeNu memorized but was able to give me exact instructions on how to make it so I was able to do it.

Okay I’m a new hire, so forgive me. But some of the “secret menu” items say they are offered on such and such a date. So how is it just a personalized drink if it’s supposedly offered product on certain days?

Some of the secret menu drinks are older drinks that were discontinued and recipes were hacked together. Some of them are interesting combos people have invented. Some are overly sweet garbage like the drink in this post.

Well I know that but that but the secret menu isn’t actually real. I’m fine with making a Java chip Frappuccino with caramel and vanilla and whatever else is in it, but I can’t make it if someone doesn’t tell me what’s in it.

The website really needs to have a disclaimer on every page that says that baristas don’t know the recipes and they need to order the customizations themselves.

I think most people misunderstand what 'secret menu' means and seriously believe that baristas have like a bible thick book in the back of the kiosk that says Secret Menu on it and it's where they keep all the 'good stuff'.
