You have the legal right to refuse to do something you feel is unsafe. Try to have a conversation with your SM.

In Canada* you technically can refuse anything you think is unsafe. That being said you have to be pretty talented to burn yourself on the oven since you should be using long black tongs to take anything in or out. Each store should have burn gel and if your hand is oozing then you for sure have to wear a glove at all times but it still is just part of the job. You have to take it on yourself to be a bit more careful near something hot.
