My store accidentally mixed up frap roast and chai once. We made a good 30 frappuccinos before we had one customer come to the register to tell us 'hey, this doesn't taste right.'

This has happened to prob every store at least once. Better than other way around.

When I first started I filled the whole hopper with blonde espresso 😂 my instructions were to fill the hopper, and I'd only ever heard that machine referred to as "the blonde machine" lol my shift honestly must have laughed for weeks about that but she was so nice and just said "it's 5am, mistakes get made" and she made me a chocolate croissant

Yep, decaf happens. Honestly it's cool, but also a good time to learn the difference. :)

Lol I one put decaf into the blonde espresso during peak and had to clean the entire Hopper and vacuum the machine and put it back together during a rush.

I dropped a whole gallon of milk on the floor last night. Don’t feel too bad. 🤣

I joked about doing that for April Fool’s, but it’s terrible to hear about it happening in real life😂 At least your new barista won’t do that again.

How can you not tell the difference in the texture of shots or the aroma

It's impossible to distinguish between decaf and caffeine when it comes to coffee since you cannot "taste" caffeine. And since everyone reacts differently to caffeine almost nobody will notice right away. It's only after a couple of hours have passed that you notice whether or not your coffee gave you that energy boost you were looking for. Caffeine is funny sometimes. Customers must rely on the goodwill of the baristas

our store filled the hoper with pike instead of espresso. our shift leader was having a bad day that day

I once put Pike in the hopper cause someone put it in the wrong spot and it was 2am 😅
