Lol I had a customer yesterday get mad at me cause we were out of both the egg & cheese box and the fruit & cheese box, so I offered her a free breakfast sandwich and she got pissed off at me and she's like "no I can't have that I'm celiac" but like..... the egg & cheese.... it has a piece of bread in there.... and the fruit & cheese has crackers 🤦🏼♀️ why are you lying lady just tell me you don't like our sandwiches it's not a big deal
And okay you could get away with the fruit & cheese because the crackers come wrapped but the egg & cheese (which is the one she preferred) the bread is just loose in there like if you’re really celiac you can’t have that 🙄

It’s possible her celiac isn’t so severe that she can’t have it. Maybe she can’t eat bread, but cross contamination isn’t an issue. My mother is celiac, but can each breach-touched items. Other people do have reactions if their food is even near gluten!

If that was the case then she could’ve been open to more options like a breakfast sandwich with the bread removed
My mother is celiac as well and when we go to McDonald’s or anything like that she gets a sandwich without the bread, just a piece of egg with meat and cheese on top if this lady is celiac she’d probably be used to eating her take-out sandwiches like that
