What is “Operations 2” (self.starbucksbaristas)

I am scheduled for multiple “operations 2” for a couple hours, what are these?

Ops two was something Starbucks used to show who is working on the floor versus who’s working off the floor. Off the floor hours were to be used by managers during admin days or the nightly clean play. It can also be used for bringing in orders. It lets you add more people with out using daily coverage time!

But since we switched to teamworks that’s a thing of the past and no longer exists. We can actually program admin, key holder, training, coverage, non-coverage and more. Sooooo now you know!

Are you new? This is how my manager inputs our my learning time so that we don’t get docked labor for computer time essentially so if you’re training it might be that. Idk about what else it’s used for.

I'm not an expert but I thought training time is marked as training time on the schedule.

I’ve been with Starbucks for a good while it’s just I’ve never seen this.. but I don’t know what I would be “training for” with my manager for 2 hours
